HP to exit its PC and WebOS business

HP announced that it will discontinue all operations on its WebOS via press release. WebOS is a mobile operating system running on Linux Kernel which was developed by Palm and later acquired by Hewlett-Packard. The news came out just 2 months after the initial release of HP TouchPad tablet.
Moreover Bloomberg reports that several trusted sources confirmed that HP is about to follow path of IBM and exit its PC business as well. HP is looking to acquire a UK-based company Autonomy which is an expert in service field. Computer service and consultancy offers a better premium than the pure manufacturing of computers or computer parts.
