Resco’s Spring Update 2021 will launch at the end of March. Let’s now take a closer look at what you can expect in the new release.

Empower clients with Client Portal

Last year, we introduced Manager Experience as part of Resco Inspections – a tool for managers to schedule and review tasks more effectively, improving their overall user experience with the solution. Taking this initiative a step further, we’re launching Client Portal, which is all about reinforcing the communication and collaboration flow between organizations and their clients.

Client Portal will be the go-to hub for your end customers, storing account-related documents and data in a single repository. They can access documents, service history, request inspections and service visits, get support, check orders and everything related to their account in one place.

AR comes to Android, followed by a one-of-a-kind app for RealWear headsets

Remote collaboration will get another push with the Resco Spring Update. Thousands of technicians and experts will be able to draw and receive AR instructions also on Android devices, complementing the AR video call support introduced in Winter Update 2020. Making Houston AR video calls available on the most widespread smartphone platform will allow countless users and frontline workers to receive affordable AR remote support.

In the Spring Update, we are planning to improve how technicians and experts can draw instructions during the calls. Users will be able to place pre-defined arrows into the scene and adjust their direction and size with a simple tap-and-drag functionality. This way, it will be easier for workers to align the highlights precisely where intended. And a new movable navigation panel in the web app will further improve tool selection and visibility into the shared scene for experts.

Introducing a Smart Worker concept, we are aiming to equip frontline workers with the best software, hardware, and knowledge for their day-to-day tasks. That’s why we will unveil a new Inspections-based app for the RealWear HMT-1 device later in the spring.

The app will offer the functionality tailored for hands-free scenarios and voice operation. As a result, users of RealWear devices will get a solution enabling visual digital workflows for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Resco Cloud, with AR video calls on top of it. The first such solution available on RealWear.

Finding your way – into new ecosystems & on the road

Starting this spring, Resco will be continuously expanding its configurable, no-code integrations for Resco Cloud. Partners and customers will be able to enjoy world-class mobility and easily connect any ERP, CRM or database system to Resco’s Field Service, Mobile Sales, or Inspections. Launching in just a few weeks with out of the box support prepared for Microsoft Business Central.

Our integration connector will be also available in Microsoft’s Power Automate library. That will enable you to easily pair Resco solutions with other third-party systems which have a Power Automate connector. The path to new ecosystems and opportunities is expanding once again.

And while talking about expanding worlds – with the upcoming release, there will be also more freedom for those who utilize route planning in their Resco apps. Users will be able to add any custom address as their start location and final destination (not just use addresses pre-filled in the system). Plus, the route optimization algorithm will consider new parameters – opening hours of clients as well as fixed appointments on your calendar.

Furthermore, the Spring Update will introduce many additions available across the Resco platform, such as:

  • Offline DocuSign support on iOS
  • Cloud documents (from SharePoint, OneDrive) for Resco Inspections
  • Rounded images
  • Report designer enhancements
  • Schedule board additions
  • And more
