How to use Resco and Microsoft Dynamics 365 to configure timesheets for mobile workers

In the sea of time-tracking solutions, choosing the right one can take some time. Resco has a simple solution – timesheets which you can create using standard no-code customization tools.
At resco.NEXT, many of our partners and customers expressed interest in this use case. As we want to help you build timesheets in your Resco apps, our consultants spent some time researching and coming up with creative ways to build timesheets with existing products and tools.

To show you how to use the timesheets functionality in the Resco Mobile App Development Toolkit, we created a video where Trevor Metcalfe, our Marketing Manager for North America, will walk you through the process of creating, managing, and editing timesheets from the perspective of both a manager and a mobile user.

The video has four parts:

1. Back-office: Managing timesheets and projects

In the first part, we will show you how to use the back-office interface as a manager. You will learn how to create and manage your worker´s timesheets in the back-office system, which is Dynamics 365, how to create multiple timesheets simultaneously, switch between different views, modify project information, and much more.

2. Mobile app: Creating timesheet entries

The second part will teach you how to use the mobile app as a user who fills out timesheets. We will show you how to create timesheet entries and fill them out correctly.

3. Back-office: Approving submitted timesheets

In the third part, we will return to the manager´s perspective. We will walk you through the process of approving timesheets and ensuring everything is filled out well and that all the information is correct.

4. Technical overview: Woodford customization highlights

The final part will teach you how to customize your timesheets in Woodford. For example, you will learn how to clone timesheet entries, color code timesheets in your calendar, or calculate the aggregate values of specific fields.
