Resco introduces the Summer Update 2019 of its Mobile Business Apps Platform

Bratislava, Slovakia – June 21, 2019 – Resco, the leading provider of enterprise mobility solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce, has released the Summer Update 2019 of its Mobile Business Apps Platform.

The Summer Update extends the capabilities of Woodford, which is the corner-stone of Resco’s Mobile Business Apps Platform, and the Resco mobile app as well. New branding possibilities, mobile project collaboration and delivery options, and the new-look admin console are just a few highlights from this release

Creating fully branded mobile apps with ease

Branding is important because it not only leaves a memorable impression and lets people know what to expect from your company. Crucially, it helps customers and partners to identify your business and distinguish it from the competition.

The new Mobile Apps section in Woodford introduces an automated way to create custom-branded applications for leading app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play). This includes easily replacing the app’s name, icons and splash screen.

Extended collaboration options and ensuring app update delivery

When creating or editing a mobile project in Woodford, users can change between GitHub branches in the connection configuration, and then commit to and checkout from the chosen branch. However, they must select from already existing branches. So, in case they want to use a new branch, it has to be set up in GitHub first.

Furthermore, when an organization has a large number of mobile users, it might be difficult to make sure that everyone has the latest version of the mobile project. To ensure users utilize the up-to-date version, system admins can now set up the application to automatically download new customizations when they become available. The synchronization will then switch to the background mode, minimizing the time users cannot work with the app.

A new look for the Resco Cloud admin console

The server administration console for Resco Cloud configuration has a new, updated look that adopts the clear-cut design style first used in the HTML version of Woodford. Additionally, it runs in all browsers, without requiring any installation – making user management, data import, or creating entities and fields available across all devices and platforms.
