Resco announces groundbreaking smartwatch initiative
Rome, Italy – October 24, 2019 – Resco, the leading provider of enterprise mobility solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce, has officially launched Industry Watch, its new smartwatch initiative, today at the resco.next conference.
At the event, Resco showcased its new concept of indoor activity tracking. By using smartwatches, businesses can gather location, activity, and even body function data to gain new insights into the work of mobile staff while keeping their hands free.
Another part of the concept are automatic notifications, which can again be based on location, activity, or body sensor data. Workers can be notified about a machine needing maintenance, possible safety hazards, exhaustion, and a number of other scenarios, which can simplify indoor jobs and ensure employee safety across industries like manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and many others.
Thanks to modern technology, we see new ways of involving employees, such as production line workers, warehousemen, nurses, administrative workers, and many others. Resco has already made first steps with the smartwatch technology by extending one of its flagship products, Resco Inspections, to smartwatches and even adding voice control. This allows inspectors and service technicians to complete questionnaires easier, even in challenging conditions. The feature was also introduced in Rome as a part of Resco’s latest Autumn Update 2019.
In the future, Resco plans to explore also stand-alone business apps specifically made for smartwatches in order to fully utilize the unique capabilities of the device.
