Version 1.20, Apr 23, 2008
News
- Substantially faster Restore + other minor speed improvements
- Verify/Diff: Partial update lets you override Stop applications setting (causing otherwise a reset)
- Better report in the Verify procedure:
Registry and similar files are marked as "frequently changed" so that the user is not tempted to do unnecessary updates.
- Desktop unpack tool (downloadable from the Resco web site)
Fixes
- Problems with restoring emails on some devices
Version 1.11, Apr 10, 2008
News
- Critical: It is possible to restore e-mails within full restore (previous version needed a rather complicated procedure)
- New option not to use encryption for known files (e.g. exe, dll). Gain on speed, plus (theoretically) increased safety.
- Improved treatment of the password changes
- Restore after a hard reset does not check the registration
Fixes
- Power off after reset (if set up in the settings) could switch off the PDA too early leaving it in incorrect state
- AXIM: Painting errors
- Keyboard button visible in the password dialog
- Better treatment of inaccessible files/folders
Version 1.10, Mar 26, 2008
News
- First official release
- WARNING: Format for AES encryption changed for the compatibility reasons with WinZip.
Please, delete old AES-based backup sets - they are unreadable.
- Small improvements and fixes
Version 1.03 BETA, Mar 20, 2008
News
- Redesigned backup selection. Only folders are shown now.
WARNING: All old projects with custom selection will be set to default selection.
Please check and fix the selection for your existing projects.
- Restore: There is nothing selected in partial selection by default.
- Backup sets store the information about the device and OS version.
In case the backup set is used on another device, you get a warning about possible incompatibility.
- Option to remove files from device which are not included in the backup in case backup was created from full device selection.
(Does not work for backup sets created with previous Resco Backup versions.)
Fixes
- Predefined projects incorrectly stored selection if the “Selection” tab was not opened during setup.
- Device is turned off after soft reset after backup, if this feature is set in the Scheduler Options.
Version 1.01 BETA, Mar 07, 2008
News
- Backup of card files possible
Fixes
- Inaccessible folders won't stop backup but rather they are reported at the end
- Scheduled backup did not work for the card installation on some devices.
The solution:
Resco Backup installs small "wake-up" utility into RAM that assures that the card application receives needed notifications.
(This "wake-up" application is not yet signed, hence you get a warning from the OS.)
- Problems with Pocket Informant database solved
- Stopping applications won't freeze the device anymore
