Resco Releases Resco MobileCRM Studio 2010 Vol.2

Mobile CRM now with advanced designers and multiple platforms support

Bratislava, Slovakia — June 29, 2010 — Resco, a leading vendor of advanced developer components and tools for mobile devices, releases today Resco MobileCRM Studio 2010 Volume 2, which is optimized for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5.

Since the release of the first version Resco have experienced tremendous growth ininterest in this product. The main reason is the fact that it is a developer platform, which allows the integrators to customize the out-of-the-box mobile application by their own developers. With the new version, Resco have noticeably improved this solution, especially the customization opportunities and support for new mobile platforms, such as Tablets, iPhone and iPad.

Database Tools

Resco MobileCRM Studio’s Database Tools are integrated into Visual Studio 2008 and enables displaying all entities of Microsoft Dynamics CRM server, including custom entities. Then, in the visual environment, the programmers can select the entities they will work with in the mobile app. Afterwards the tool creates data classes containing business logic and integrates them into the entire solution along with C# source code. The source code can be altered, if needed. The tool also modifies the synchronized layer in order of the selected entities are synchronized with Microsoft Dynamics CRM server database.

UI Designers

UI Designers are a set of advanced designers integrated directly into Visual Studio 2008. The designers, by providing a easy to handle environment, allow designing forms of the mobile CRM application. There are 2 types of the designer at a developers disposal: list forms—to display linear data list, e.g. accounts list; and detail forms—to display the detail of one or multiple entities, e.g. account’s detail.  The programmer can access thedDatabase tools directly from the UI Designers. That enables a simple data binding to Microsoft Dynamics CRM entities. After the design form is saved as a C# source code, it is added to the entire solution. The designers can be used either for customization of the existing forms or for creation of new forms.

Tablet, iPhone, iPad support

One of the most significant new features of Resco MobileCRM Studio is multiplatform support. The solution enables developers to build mobile applications for tablets running Windows XP or Windows 7. Further, it allows building apps for iPhone and iPad also. This is possible thanks to cooperation with Novell and their MonoTouch product. Mobile CRM app’s development and customization is done exclusively in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. The final project is then converted to a MonoTouch project by a conversion tool, which is part of the Resco MobileCRM Studio. Afterwards, the project is built up for iPhone or iPad. Resco plans to support Android platform in a similar way very soon.

Resco MobileCRM Studio is licensed per developer seat. Therefore, it gives full independence from Resco to all integrators and Dynamics CRM users. There is no restriction for deployed devices for Dynamics CRM integrators, neither royalties.
