Resco Explorer 8.10 Released!

Totally Touchable File Manager

Bratislava, Slovakia (September 7, 2010), Resco, a supplier of Windows phone applications and one of the leading mobile software developers officially announced the release of Resco Explorer 8.10, a major update of our #1 application, which unites and utilizes all the key features of each Windows Mobile phone.

The update introduces an important new feature — WebDAV. This protocol similar to the FTP provides a framework for users to create, change and move documents on a server. You may also lock the data on the server as sort of an overwrite prevention. All the services are based on HTTP not FTP. The advantage is that you may now maintain a WebDAV server the same way as you were used to with the FTP’s. Another advantage — you will barely recognize the difference while using both of the tools, as work with the WebDAV uses the same interface as Explorer’s well known FTP.

The second improvement is an automated upload to the FTP. Anytime you open a document from the server and make a change, the file is automatically re-uploaded back to the FTP. The same thing happens with the WebDAV, or when you edit a file inside of a ZIP archive. When you save the changes the archive is immediately re-packed.

New features in Resco Explorer 8.10

WebDAV support — HTTP based services which provide a framework for users to create, change, move or lock documents on a WebDAV server. Working interface is the same as using the FTP tool.

Auto re-upload/re-pack for opened files (FTP/WebDAV/Zip) — Anytime you open a document in one of the mentioned destinations and make a change, the file is automatically saved and re-uploaded/re-packed to the server/archive.
