Palm OS

The operating system originally designed for the Palm series of PDAs.

Typical representatives are Palm Tungsten and Zire series, Sony Clie, Garmin or very popular Treo smartphones. Resco products require minimal version of your operating system: either Palm OS4 or Palm OS5.

How to identify the Palm OS version of your handheld

From your Palm Launcher:

1. Open the main menu and select App > Info...
2. Tap Version (at the bottom)
3. Read the OS version at the top. (Leftmost version number decides.)

Eg. Treo 650 has "Palm OS Garnet v.5.4.5", i.e. it is a Palm OS5 handheld.
